"Stamp-collecting Travel" to Explore Kunming

Recently, "Stamp-collecting Travel" has become a trend. From "Military-style Travel" and "Exchange Vacations" to the current "Stamp-collecting Travel," the forms of tourism are becoming increasingly diverse.

Stamp-collecting Travel refers to the practice of collecting stamps from local attractions or distinctive places during a journey and imprinting them in a travel journal or commemorative album, creating individual memories of the trip. It has become a new way of traveling for young people. Stamp-collecting Travel not only satisfies the cultural and psychological needs of young people, allowing them to find enjoyment and commemorative value in their travels, but also enables them to visit niche cultural and heritage sites, experience unique cultural activities, and better immerse themselves in the local cultural atmosphere, to better understand the city's history.

In Kunming, you can collect stamps at attractions such as Yunnan Provincial Museum, Cuihu Park, Yunnan Liberation Memorial Hall, and Peacock Post Office. At Yunnan Provincial Museum, upon entering the museum after making a reservation, visitors can see two cultural and creative stores on the first floor packed with people, with long queues forming in front of the stamp-collecting tables. Xiao Chen, a visitor who was in the queue, introduced herself as an avid stamp-collector. Before coming to collect stamps at the Yunnan Provincial Museum, she had already known that Yunnan Provincial Museum has a large number of stamps, with a total of 75, and they are all free. "It's very appealing for a stamp collector like me," said Xiao Chen.

The staff at the Peacock Post Office introduced that they offer 23 peacock commemorative stamps and 1 scenic stamp, all of which can be collected for free. Xiao Xiao, who came from Chengdu, said that she was on a trip to Yunnan and had joined a postcard exchange group. During her travels, she would send postcards from each place to her fellow group members. Holding a stack of carefully selected postcards, she stamped them one by one.
